When does soccer season start?

Next week!  Coaches are going through their final steps this weekend and will have their gear and information as early as this Sunday.

When will I hear from my child's coach?

You may hear from the coach as early as August 23rd.  However, some coaches may not be able to make their calls until August 27th or 28th.

What do I do if I do not hear from the coach on August 23rd?

Please sit tight and be patient.  We know how excited the players are and we want to get them out to the pitch as soon as possible.  However, since we are completely volunteer run, we need to be thoughtful of our volunteer coaches' time and know that they will reach out to you.

When do trainings/practices start?
Trainings can begin as early as Monday, August 25.  Since there are a couple weeks before our first games, it is okay to wait until next week to begin.  We leave that to the coaches discretion.

What can I do now?

Respecting themselves and their teammates.
Get your players ready and review all the things we would expect out of our players:
  • Trying their best and giving 100% effort.
  • For them to be patient when they do not know a skill - we are all about Player Development and learning new skills and that's what training is for!
  • Respecting their coaches - not only because they are volunteers, but because they are doing their best to teach skills.
What help does AYSO need?

We need more volunteers!  We need you to log on to www.ayso.org and take the Safe Haven course so that you can be there to help your team in a variety of ways.
We need referees!  Please go to www.aysotraining.org and sign up to be a  referee.  It will help you learn the game better and will really help out our organization!

On behalf of the AYSO Board of Directors, I wish you a fun 2014 soccer season!
