After registering as a volunteer, Please go to www.aysotraining.org and complete the training to begin the journey to becoming a referee. It will help you learn the game better and remember AYSO is a completely volunteer run organization so we rely on your involvement. Additionally, if your child is interested in the All Star program having trained and experienced referees will be required this year, so it will factor into the selection process.
Here are a few reminders to make sure that your child has a great experience this soccer season.
Make sure to get you player to practice and games on time.
Make sure that you player is ready to play (proper equipment, have water, good nutrition.)
Fun and player development - over winning at all costs - is the AYSO way.
Fans only cheer, and only coaches coach.
Positive encouragement only for all players - remember these are just kids.
Respect the volunteer referees and coaches.
No swearing or abusive behavior.
No alcohol, tobacco or drugs.
Leave no trash behind.
Set a proper example of sportsmanship.
Although the city allows dogs in parks - AYSO prohibits dogs at all fields.
On behalf of the AYSO Board of Directors, we wish you a fun and successful 2015 soccer season!
